Who I am
Hi, I’m Sierra! I’ve been drawing and creating since I was a kid—art has always been my language. Growing up, I was immersed in ballet and dreamed of becoming a professional dancer. But in grade 11, a serious injury forced me to rethink my future. Lost and uncertain, I travelled through Europe alone, which helped me find a new direction.
I returned home with a fresh perspective and decided to pursue a degree in graphic design and branding at Capilano University, despite not even knowing what “branding” really meant. After graduating with my degree, I landed a job at a small agency, but I quickly realized it wasn’t enough to satisfy my creative hunger. I turned to freelance work, but still found myself missing the act of drawing.
During the pandemic, my interest in tattooing grew, and I began working on building a portfolio. After much hard work and perseverance, I found an apprenticeship under an incredible mentor who pushed me to become the artist I am today.
Now, as a tattoo artist, I specialize in American traditional tattoos, creating vibrant, bold designs that tell stories. I work in an all-female private studio in Gastown, focusing on larger pieces like sleeves, back pieces, and other custom work. When I’m not tattooing, you can find me painting, skiing, hiking, or indulging in my love of potatoes (yams are my absolute favourite).
Tattooing isn’t just about ink on the skin—it’s about connection. I strive to make every client feel heard, respected, and confident in the work we’re creating together. I’m here to help bring your vision to life with a design that you’ll love and feel proud to wear for life.
